About the role

Advice Giving Conduct client conversations using empathetic listening and skilful questioning techniques. Use resources such as Citizens Advice, government databases, and authorised information sources to locate, interpret, and effectively communicate relevant information to clients. Determine accurate benefit entitlements, including conducting benefit checks when necessary. Assist clients in exploring options and guide them through the process of starting or submitting applications as needed. Internal Referral and Signposting: Identify opportunities for internal referral or external signposting to other agencies based on client needs. Compliance and Quality Standards: Ensure all work aligns with the organisation's office manual and complies with the Advice Quality Standard and other funding requirements as applicable. Professional and Personal Development: Stay current with changes in legislation, policies, and procedures, undertaking relevant training as necessary. Collaborate with your line manager to formulate an annual learning and development plan that addresses both your personal development needs and those of the organisation. Take an active role in preparing for regular meetings, assuming responsibility for your own development within the team.
