Our response to the PAS 1899:2022 electrical vehicle public chargepoint standards consultation. 236 KB

This is our response to the PAS 1899:2022 standards consultation. These standards aim to provide a universal specification for the minimum level of accessibility for all electrical vehicle public charge points in the UK.

We are broadly supportive of the standards and commend the work of British Standards Institute (BSI), Motability, OZEV (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) and the rest of the review panel for getting them to this stage.

We recommend the standards are revised so there is less ambiguous phrasing, clear explanations of the enforcement process and the consideration of further learnings from other sectors.
